Frequently we are asked, "Why would I rent a motorcycle when I can own one?" Renting a motorcycle is certainly not for everyone. If you use your motorcycle to commute to work or ride frequently, then motorcycle rental isn't necessarily for you. Listed below are some of the reasons why our customers have come to Moto Hobo to rent a late model BMW motorcycle.

Just Visiting - Whether you're chasing the Tour de Georgia for a week, visiting friends or family in the area for a weekend or riding with business collegues for a day, our most frequent renter is the out-of-towner. We realize that as a non-resident, you may have a need for more personalized service. We at Moto Hobo stand ready to handle any special requests or services. Just ask! If you are from our local area, own your own bike and have an incoming guest, why not show them your favorite roads in the north Georgia mountains? Having access to another motorcycle can expand your garage...so to speak.
The "Extended" Test Ride - Most dealerships and private sellers will not let you try it before you buy it. Even if they do, the chances of keeping the bike overnight or for several days is slim to none. Our rental fleet is just the ticket for those who would like to get the feel of a touring BMW for a full day or longer. Taking the dealers hour long demo ride is one thing but, a lot of questions can be answered, particularly with regards to peformance and ergonomics, by taking an extended test ride.
The Infrequent Rider - Some folks are just so busy that they may only get the opportunity to ride just a few times per year or maybe for a week to go to Daytona Bike Week with the guys. This is quite possibly the perfect rental customer and the catagory our Gold Key customers fall into. It is much more cost effective to rent once you factor in finance charges for the purchase of a motorcycle, depreciation, insurance coverage (24/7, 12 months/yr.), maintenance and tires. Our customers know that when they DO have the chance to ride, Moto Hobo's fleet of late model BMWs is always properly maintained, clean and ready to go with a full charge on the battery.
Tour Participants - Due to the expense of shipping and time it takes, those who tour with us may find it more convenient to rent one of our bikes than to ship their own. Local tour participants can also ride a more comfortable bike on our tours if they own a bike which just dosen't lend itself to several continuous days in the saddle. By combining one of our tours with one of our rentals, discounted rental rates are available.
Da Wife - Maybe you'd like to share your passion for riding but the wife can't see herself perched atop the back of your RR sport bike all weekend. Our BMW touring bikes can put her fanny at ease and enjoy the ride. An optional top case with your rental will even give her a back rest so she can relax and take in the scenery. Or, if your S.O. (significant other) simply does not allow you to own a motorcycle (it happens, my ex-wife would not allow bike payments in our household budget) then renting may be your only answer for scratching your biker's itch.
